Junior Leadership Southside Applications Now Open!
April 18, 2018
Middle Border Forward (MBF) in conjunction with the Center for Community Engagement and Career Competitiveness is coordinating Junior Leadership Southside (JLS) for summer 2018! JLS is a FREE program running from June 10-15 for rising Juniors and Seniors. The goal is to identify and grow emerging leaders in the City of Danville, Pittsylvania County, and Casewell County.
This free one-week program gives students the opportunity to:
- Develop Leadership Skills
- Find their Purpose
- Network with Other Leaders
- Job Shadow
- Lunch & Snacks provided!
“We see JLS as an avenue for all types of students to develop their personal leadership style. We know a leader isn’t just the guy wearing the suit at the head of the table. A leader is someone who recognizes when change is needed and empowers others to help make it happen. Junior Leadership Southside can be that student’s first chance to make a real impact,” says Jennifer Gregory, Executive Director of Middle Border Forward.
